Indications for screening test for diabetes

Those having typical signs and symptoms of diabetes. |

All persons over age of 30 years should undergo annual test to rule out presence of diabetes. |

Persons at high risk must undergo blood sugar testing more frequently, and at least once annually. |
Testing should be considered at younger age and be carried out more frequently in:

First degree relative with diabetes.
High risk ethical population.
Hypertensive.
